HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

We typically do restocks 2-3 times a month. Due to shortages and shipping delays from our suppliers, we are experiencing longer restock times. We are working endlessly to ensure that your favorite candles are restocked as soon as possible.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Our policy lasts 14 days. Unfortunately, if 14 days have gone by since your purchase, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Orders in which a "note to seller" note was left are non-refundable.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
WHAT IS YOUR EXCHANGE POLICY?
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and send your item to the posted return address.
HOW MUCH IS THE RETURN SHIPPING FEE?
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND?
Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original payment method within a certain amount of days.
DO YOU HAVE A REFILL PROGRAM?
Our goal here at Earthside is to be as sustainable as possible. Our current glass vessels are made form recycled glass. Typically, glass will end up in landfills even if it's been recycled. Because we want to leave a smaller footprint here on Earth, we'e decided to create our refill program.
Our refill program is more of an exchange program. When your candle has finished it's burn life, we'd love it if you brought it back to us at one of our markets closest to you! Every time you bring back your cleaned out vessel we'll swap it out for a candle of equal size or value for 25% off!
For our Earthsiders who are not local we know it’s not very economical to mail back your empty container but because our goal is to pursue sustainability we’d like to give you 15% off your next order on our online shop if you send us a picture of your cleaned out and recycled vessel, or repurposing it!
CARE AND MATERIALS
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY CANDLE?
The first burn is one of the most important burns. Soy wax is a memory wax and will burn poorly if not burned long enough. We recommend allowing the candle to melt the wax to the edges of the candle before blowing out the flame on the first burn. We also strongly encourage to burn to the edges on every burn.
Sometimes wood wicks can be a little tricky to light and keep lit. Keep the wick trimmed by pinching off ash before each lighting.
Sometimes it helps to light and melt the wax surrounding the base of the wick. This gives the wick some melted wax to burn before it gets lit.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Stop use when 1/4” wax remains; this is usually when the top of the wick anchor becomes level with the wax.
ARE YOUR CANDLES 100% SOY WAX?
All of our wax is made from soy beans grown in the U.S. (Golden Wax). We also started adding a bit of coconut oil to help the candle burn better as well as provide a cleaner cosmetic look.
WHERE ARE YOUR WOOD WICKS FROM?
Our wood wicks are sourced from sustainable lumber farms and every purchase you make helps plant more trees (https://woodenwick.com/pages/about-us).
WHAT ARE FRAGRANCE OILS?
All of our fragrances are infused with essential oils (https://www.candlescience.com/learning/whats-in-fragrance-oil).
Our fragrances aren’t 100% essential oils. Candles made completely from essential oils are typically not highly fragrant. Feel free to checkout the CandleScience link for more info. If you'd like something with pure essential oils, check out our room sprays.
